Chicken Biryani


Ingredients:

  • Chicken 1 Kg (Cut into small pieces)
  • Rice – 1 Kg
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Onions 3 or 4 in big size Chopped
  • Tomato 3 or 4 in big size Chopped
  • Garlic & ginger 2 tsp
  • Salt 2 tsp or as your taste
  • Red Chilies 2 tsp or as your taste
  • Turmeric half tsp
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Cumin Seeds  1 tsp
  • Garam Masala 2 tsp
  • Green Cardamom 6
  • Dried Coriander 1/2 tsp
Method:

  1. Bring water to boil and add rice and salt. When rice is half cooked, drain the water and place in a pan.
  2. Heat oil and fry onions till the turn brown.
  3. Add all Spices, Tomato Garlic & ginger and chicken and cooked well till chicken color is brown.
  4. Add the yogurt n cooked when water in the yogurt dries.
  5. Take a pan and put 1 layer of cooked chicken, 1 layer of meat and again one of rice till they are finished.
  6. Cover the lid and cook on very low heat for 20 minutes.
  7. Chicken Biryani is ready serve with Salad & Raita.
