Chana Pulao


Ingredients:

  • 1 kg Rice washed and soaked
  • ½ kg Chick Peas boiled
  • 1 big size Onion chopped
  • 2 tsp garlic & ginger paste
  • 1 big size Tomato chopped
  • 3 or 4 green Chilies
  • 3 tsp Salt or as your taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp Garam masala 
  • Cooking oil about 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Heat the Oil and fry onions till golden brown.
  2. Now add the garlic & ginger paste tomatoes and all spices and chick peas and half cup of water and cooked for 5 to 10 mints.
  3. Now add 6 cups of water, for every cup of rice the ratio of water is double Let the water boil. 
  4. Now add the washed rice and raise the heat and cook till all water dry.
  5. Now reduce the heat to very low for dam put on an air tight lid and let it cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
  6. Chana Pulao is ready. Serve with Raita & salad.
