Coconut Fish Fry

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg Roho/ Surmai fillets 
  • 1 tsp Salt or as your taste
  • 1 Red Chilies (fresh)
  • 2 Green chilies (fresh)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper 
  • 3 tbs Coconut  
  • 2 tsp Ginger & Garlic (chopped)
  • 1 1/2 tbs White Vinegar 
  • 3 tbs  gram flour (besan)
  • Oil for frying 

Method:

  1. Wash the fish fillets and pat dry. 
  2. Sprinkle besan over fillets and keep aside. 
  3. Grind together, red & green chilies, cocunut, ginger, garlic, vinegar and just enough water to make fine paste. 
  4. Add salt and evenly coat fillets with this paste. 
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry fish till crisp. 
  6. Serve hot.
