Aam ka Muraba


Ingredients:

  • 1 kg Raw mangoes
  • 2 liters water
  • 1 ½  kg Sugar
  • 2 tsp Green cardamom seeds, crushed
  • 1 tsp Saffron (zafran)
  • 15 Almonds, blanched and slivered

Preparation:


  1. Wash, peel, cut the mangoes into cubes. Place the mango cubes in a pan, add two cups of water and cover and cook on low heat for 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. Now heat sugar with six cups of water in a pan and prepare sugar syrup of one string consistency.
  3. Now add the cooked mango cubes in this syrup and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Now add crushed green cardamom seeds, saffron and almonds and cook on the low heat till the mixture is thick.
  5. Remove from the heat and cool. Tasty Muraba ready Enjoy.
